Yastika Bhatia, a key player for the Indian Women’s Cricket Team, has been ruled out of the upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia due to a wrist injury sustained during the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) in Australia.
Uma Chetry Replaces Yastika Bhatia in ODI Squad
In her absence, Uma Chetry has been called up to join the team. The BCCI confirmed the change, with the All-India Women’s Selection Committee naming Chetry as Bhatia’s replacement. While Chetry has played only four T20 matches so far, Bhatia boasts significant experience with 3 Tests, 28 ODIs, and 19 T20s under her belt.
ODI Series Schedule
The Indian Women’s Cricket Team will miss Bhatia’s presence during the three-match ODI series, which is part of the ICC Women’s Championship. The matches are scheduled as follows:
• 1st ODI: December 5 at Allan Border Field, Brisbane
• 2nd ODI: December 8 at Allan Border Field, Brisbane
• 3rd ODI: December 11 at WACA Ground, Perth
