The two-day IPL 2025 auction witnessed record-breaking spending of ₹639.15 crore. A total of 21 players were bought for ₹10 crore or more, significantly higher than the 11 players bought for such sums in the 2022 mega auction.
Rishabh Pant became the most expensive player, fetching ₹27 crore, followed by Shreyas Iyer at ₹26.75 crore. With the mega auction concluded, the anticipation for IPL 2025 is soaring as teams prepare for the tournament.

• Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB): Andy Flower, who was appointed head coach last season, will continue to lead RCB in IPL 2025.
• Chennai Super Kings (CSK): Stephen Fleming, a long-time associate of CSK, will remain the head coach for IPL 2025. Fleming has served CSK as both a player and coach.
• Delhi Capitals (DC): Following their split with Ricky Ponting, Delhi Capitals have appointed Hemang Badani as their new head coach.
• Mumbai Indians (MI): Mahela Jayawardene will return as head coach, replacing Mark Boucher. Jayawardene has previously coached Mumbai Indians.
• Gujarat Titans (GT): Ashish Nehra, who became Gujarat Titans’ first head coach in IPL 2022, will retain his role for the 2025 season.
