Two-time Olympic medallist and badminton sensation PV Sindhu is all set to start a new chapter in her life as she ties the knot with Hyderabad-based Venkata Datta Sai, an executive director at Posidex Technologies. The grand wedding will take place on December 22 in Udaipur, followed by a reception on December 24 in Hyderabad.
A Month of Preparations
Sindhu’s father, PV Ramana, confirmed the news and shared that the wedding plans were finalized just a month ago. Both families have known each other for some time, but December was chosen for the ceremony due to Sindhu’s busy professional schedule starting January. The wedding festivities will begin on December 20, marking a joyous celebration for the shuttler and her family.
Sindhu’s Recent Sporting Triumph
Before stepping into her new life, Sindhu added another feather to her cap by clinching the Syed Modi International Badminton Championship title for the third time. On November 26, the 29-year-old defeated China’s Wu Luo Yu in a stunning 21-14, 21-16 victory in Lucknow. This marks her first title in over two years, her previous being the Singapore Open in July 2022.
